Lake Lagunita

Lake Lagunita

I started running again two months ago, and I’ve already been feeling much more mentally alert and high-spirited, much more efficient at work, and much more physically in tune. The first several weeks I had to focus to let myself get used to running again, so I mostly ran down familiar paths. But now that I’m getting back in the rhythm of things, I’ve been increasingly feeling the itch to go explore — the idea that just my two feet can take me to places I haven’t gone before is appealing to me.

Lake Lagunita is a dry lake on Stanford campus, less than a mile south of where my office is, but for some reason, I hadn’t paid it a visit in the past 2.5 years. So, to scratch this itch, I first went close to home.
